A wealthy heir humiliated his future bride in front of his own mother because she worked as a mechanic at a car dealership. But just a few minutes later, he deeply regretted his actions.
There was just over a month left until the wedding.
Dmitry was the only son of a very wealthy businessman. He had grown up in luxury, had driven expensive cars since childhood, wore expensive suits, and was used to believing that money could solve any problem. His mother fully shared these views and always repeated that their family should only associate with people of their own circle.

When Dmitry announced that he was getting married, his mother immediately wanted to meet his future bride.
“I hope she’s at least from a decent family?” she asked.
“Don’t worry. She’s very beautiful and smart,” Dmitry replied.
That day, they were supposed to meet near the large car dealership where the girl worked.
His mother arrived early. An expensive black car pulled up smoothly at the entrance. She got out and looked around with curiosity.
A few seconds later, a young woman in a blue work jumpsuit came out of the repair area. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, her hands were stained with motor oil, and she was holding tools in her hands.
She smiled and walked toward them.
“Hello. It’s very nice to meet you.”
The woman slowly looked at her clothes, then turned her gaze to her son.
“Wait… She’s a mechanic?”
Dmitry gave an awkward smile.
“Yes. She does car repairs.”
His mother’s face immediately changed.
“You’re seriously going to marry a girl who spends all day crawling under cars?”
The girl remained calmly silent.
But Dmitry unexpectedly laughed.
“To be honest, Mom, I still can’t get used to it myself. Sometimes I come here and see her all covered in oil crawling under cars. Can you imagine?”
They both started laughing.
“I think a wrench suits her better than an engagement ring,” the woman said mockingly.
“And she should replace her wedding dress with a work jumpsuit,” Dmitry added.
Several service employees heard these words and exchanged glances, but no one said anything.
The girl calmly wiped her hands with a rag and said quietly:
“Are you done?”

“No,” Dmitry smirked. “I just don’t understand how you can work as a mechanic when you could find a normal woman’s job. After the wedding, you’re not coming here anymore at all.”
“Of course she won’t,” his mother said with a contemptuous smile. “In our family, women don’t fix cars.”
The girl looked at them in silence for a few seconds. Then she did something that left everyone in complete shock. You can find the continuation of the story in the first comment.
Then she calmly asked:
“So you’re absolutely sure you know everything about this place?”
“Of course,” Dmitry chuckled. “It’s just a regular auto repair shop.”
She gave a barely noticeable smile.
“Then follow me.”
She slowly led them through the huge showroom. Every employee they passed immediately greeted her.
“Good morning.”
“Hello.”
“Nice to see you.”
His mother looked around in surprise.
“Why do they all talk to you like that?”
The girl didn’t answer.
She walked up to a glass door with a sign reading “Director,” opened it with an electronic key, and calmly walked inside.
Dmitry and his mother stopped in confusion.
The girl sat down behind a large desk, opened her laptop, and pressed the intercom button.
“Andrey, please come in.”
A few seconds later, a man about fifty years old in an expensive suit entered the office.
“Good afternoon. You called for me?”
“Yes. Please prepare the documents for today’s deal. And also… please cancel Dmitry’s car order.”
The man nodded.
“Very well, owner.”
After these words, silence fell over the office so thick that even the hum of the air conditioner could be heard.
Dmitry looked in bewilderment first at the man, then at the girl.
“Wait… What do you mean… owner?”
She calmly looked him in the eyes.
“This car dealership, the service center, and the entire network belong to me. I founded them together with my father many years ago, and after his death, I became the sole owner. Sometimes I go out to the repair bay myself and work alongside the mechanics because I love what I do and I want to know what’s happening in my company.”
His mother turned noticeably pale.
“But… why didn’t you tell us anything?”
“Because I wanted to see how you treat people who honestly work with their hands.”
Dmitry stepped forward.
“I’m sorry. I was wrong. I just…”
She raised her palm, not letting him finish.
“No. You said exactly what you really thought.”
She opened a folder lying on the desk.
“By the way, your new Rolls-Royce, which you ordered from us, was already ready for delivery. But now it will go to another client. At least he respects the people who service it.”
Dmitry was completely at a loss.

“Please, let’s fix this.”
The girl calmly took off her engagement ring and placed it on the table.
“You know what the most interesting thing is? While you were laughing at my jumpsuit, all the employees around were silent only because they didn’t want to interrupt their boss.”
She smiled.
“Now you can leave. And next time, before you humiliate someone because of their job, first find out exactly who you’re talking to.”
