During a shooting competition, a famous champion publicly humiliated a young cleaning lady and called her a loser in front of hundreds of spectators. But when the girl unexpectedly picked up a rifle and did something unexpected, the entire arena fell silent in shock…
During a major sport shooting competition, the best marksmen from across the country gathered at the central arena. Hundreds of spectators sat in the stands. Journalists filmed reports, commentators analyzed every performance, and the participants prepared for the next stages of the tournament.

The main star of the competition was twenty-six-year-old Emma. Over the past three years, she had not lost a single major tournament. Her photos appeared in sports magazines, sponsors offered lucrative contracts, and many young athletes dreamed of achieving at least a fraction of her success.
But along with her talent, Emma had developed an unpleasant trait. She began to consider herself better than others. She was particularly contemptuous toward people who worked as service staff. In her opinion, such people had simply failed to achieve anything serious in life.
After the completion of the next shooting stage, the organizers announced a short break. Cleaners came out onto the arena to collect spent shell casings and tidy up the area before the next round.
Among them was a young girl named Sarah. She was about the same age as Emma. The girl calmly swept the platform and collected trash into a special container, trying to finish her work as quickly as possible.
Emma noticed her immediately. She smirked and nudged the athlete standing next to her with her elbow.
“Look at her. We’re almost the same age, except I’m the national champion, and she’s picking up trash after me.”
Several people exchanged awkward glances. But Emma continued.
“She probably didn’t do well in school either.”
Sarah didn’t react and kept sweeping. For some reason, that indifference only irritated Emma more. She stepped closer.
“Do you even like that kind of work?”
Sarah remained silent.
“Or are you just not capable of anything else?”
The cleaner calmly swept the casings into a dustpan.
“Can you imagine what it’s like—every day watching successful people and knowing you’ll never become one of them?”
Several spectators in the front rows had already begun to listen in on the conversation. But Sarah still didn’t answer. She seemed not to notice the mockery at all.
Emma rolled her eyes.
“Can’t even talk?”
Sarah looked up.
“I’m just working.”
That calm reply somehow finally pushed Emma over the edge. She abruptly grabbed the broom.
“Then work faster.”
And she shoved the girl hard in the shoulder. Sarah staggered but stayed on her feet. The arena immediately fell quiet. Even some athletes looked at the champion in surprise.
Emma stood there with a mocking smile, clearly expecting the cleaner to just walk away. But something completely different happened. Sarah slowly straightened up. Then she looked at Emma’s rifle, which was lying on a special stand after the round.
Without a word, the girl walked over to the weapon. Emma frowned.
“What are you doing?”
Sarah calmly picked up the rifle. And in the next second, she did something that left everyone frozen in shock. (Continued in the first comment.)
Several judges were already about to intervene, but the girl confidently checked the position of the weapon as if she had done it a thousand times before. Experienced marksmen immediately noticed this. A murmur of surprise rippled through the stands.
Sarah approached the firing line. A distant target stood before her. She took aim.
A shot rang out. A ten appeared instantly on the electronic scoreboard. Dead center.
A rumble passed through the stands. Emma stopped smiling.
Sarah took a second shot. Again dead center. Third. Fourth. Fifth. Each time, the bullet hit virtually the same spot.
Now no one in the arena was speaking. Hundreds of people silently watched the girl in work uniform with a broom.
One of the coaches walked closer to the monitor with the results and reviewed the numbers several times. There was no mistake. Such a series of bullseyes was not something every professional athlete could achieve.
Emma watched as if she couldn’t believe her own eyes.

Finally, Sarah lowered the rifle and returned it to the stand. For a few seconds, there was complete silence.
Emma was the first to speak.
“Who even are you?”
Sarah smiled slightly.
“I used to do sport shooting too.”
“Used to?”
“A few years ago, I won regional competitions and was preparing for the national championship.”
Emma frowned in surprise.
“Then why are you working here as a cleaner?”
Sarah looked at her calmly.
“Because after my father got sick, I had to leave sports. Then came family. Then my younger sister was born and needed care. Right now, I work two jobs to help my loved ones.”
She paused for a moment.
“I shoot just as well too, and I could easily compete in tournaments like this. But right now, I have a family and no time for daily training.”
Someone in the stands began to applaud. Within seconds, others joined in. Very quickly, the entire arena filled with loud applause. People rose from their seats and were no longer looking at the champion, but at the girl in the work uniform.
