A six-year-old boy saw a wet rope near the river: the boy pulled the rope, and a few minutes later something terrible surfaced from the water 😨😱
That day was warm and peaceful.

The boys were playing on the bank of a quiet river. They were launching bark boats, throwing stones into the water, and laughing so loudly that the echo spread through the entire forest.
Suddenly one of the boys — Ilya, the most curious in the group — noticed something strange.
On the sand, almost right at the water’s edge, there was a thick rope. One end of it went straight into the river, disappearing under the murky surface, while the other was thrown onto the bank.
— Look! — Ilya shouted. — What if it’s treasure?
But his friends immediately became cautious.
— Don’t touch it, maybe it’s trash… — someone said uncertainly.
— Or a trap! — another added.
Despite the fear, Ilya still bent down and grabbed the rope. It was wet and cold. He pulled — and felt resistance. There was clearly something on the other end.

— I’m pulling! — he shouted, but his friends were already stepping back. Someone laughed nervously, someone turned pale.
— Let’s get out of here! — one boy shouted and ran off first.
A minute later, Ilya was left alone by the river. His heart was pounding.
He pulled again — this time harder. The rope gave way slowly, as if something heavy was being dragged from the bottom. The water began to ripple, and something frightening started to rise from the depths 😱😱 Continuation in the first comment👇👇
It was the body of a man. Water slid down his face, his eyes were closed, and his clothes clung to his skin. The rope was wrapped around his waist, and there were bruises on his neck.
Ilya screamed. The rope slipped from his hands, he stepped back, and ran toward the village. Tears blurred his vision, his breathing was broken, but he didn’t stop.

When the adults returned with him to the riverbank, the body had already been carried closer to the shallow area by the current. It later turned out that the man had been missing for a week.
And the rope — that very rope — no one has dared to touch since. It still lies on the riverbank, reminding everyone that curiosity can sometimes reveal a terrible truth.
