Our dog kept staring intently at the wall in the bedroom and constantly barking, not letting us sleep: we had to call a builder and break down the wall 😱😱

When my husband, our daughter, and I moved into a new house, it felt like a dream had come true. The house was old but well-kept: spacious rooms, a cozy garden, large windows overlooking the forest. We fell in love with it at first sight. It felt like a new, happy chapter of our lives was about to begin.

Our dog, a Doberman named Rada, seemed happy at first. She ran joyfully around the house, exploring every corner. But almost immediately we noticed something strange: every day she would sit in the same spot in the bedroom and stare for a long time at the wall. Sometimes she just sat quietly, but more and more often she barked, growled, and even scratched the wallpaper with her paws.

In the other rooms she behaved completely normally. We thought it was just a quirk or stress from moving. But time passed, and Rada’s behavior became more and more persistent. At night she woke us up barking—always staring at that same wall.

At first we tried to calm her. Then we scolded her. But nothing helped. Until one day, exhausted from sleepless nights and growing anxiety, we decided to find out why this wall was making our dog so agitated.

We called a familiar builder to carefully break down a section of it. We froze in horror when we saw what was inside the wall 😨😱

Behind the layer of drywall was a narrow service cavity. Darkness, dust, cobwebs… and a metal box, tightly embedded in the brick.

When we opened it, our hearts stopped. Inside were bones, an old child’s shoe, a plush toy, and a very old tin can.

Our hands were shaking. We immediately called the police. An investigation began. It turned out that in 1987 a girl had gone missing from this house.

At the time, it was believed she had run away, since she was never found. The case was closed, her mother died of grief shortly after, and her father moved away.

The case was reopened, and a real manhunt began for someone who might still be alive and hiding.

Rada never barked again. From that day on, she never went near that wall again.
