On the bus, a cheeky young man not only refused to give up his seat to an elderly woman, but also demonstratively placed his foot on the seat — yet he certainly did not expect this kind of punishment 😨😱
That day, the bus was so crowded that people had to hold onto each other to avoid falling around corners. Inside, voices buzzed, some argued, some looked at their phones, and some silently endured the crush.
At one of the stops, an elderly woman with a cane slowly entered the cabin. She moved very carefully, as if every step was a struggle. People made a little space, but there were almost no free seats. And suddenly, she noticed one — next to the young man.
The young man sat sprawled, legs wide, and his backpack lay on the adjacent seat. Moreover, he had stretched out his leg, taking up almost half the aisle. He looked self-satisfied, as if the bus belonged only to him.
The elderly woman stepped closer and quietly, almost in a whisper, said:
— Young man, please move your bag… I would like to sit.
The young man didn’t even turn his head. He pretended not to hear anything.
The woman paused for a moment, then cautiously reached for the backpack, just to free a space. But at that moment, the young man jerked sharply as if someone had hit him, and jumped up, shouting:
— What are you doing?! Who allowed you to touch my things?! I’m calling the police!
The bus became quieter. People began to turn around.
— I just wanted to sit… — the woman replied, confused. — It’s free here, I asked first…
The young man smirked, looked down at her, and said coldly:
— This seat is taken.
— And who took it? — she asked quietly.
Without hesitation, he replied with a cheeky smile:
— My foot.
After these words, he demonstratively threw his heavy foot onto the seat and added:
— And anyway… you smell old. I don’t want to sit next to you.
A heavy pause fell over the bus. Some lowered their eyes, some pressed their lips, but no one intervened.

— Hey, you, fatso — said the girl standing by the window. — Do you even hear yourself?
Everyone turned to her. She looked straight at the young man, without fear or doubt.
— This woman is the only one who would ever want to sit next to you, and only because it’s hard for her to stand. And you act as if everyone owes you.
The young man grimaced but didn’t get a chance to respond. The girl continued:
— Look up. See the sign? These seats are for the elderly and those who find it difficult to stand. Or is it already invisible to you because of your arrogance? Instead, walk — it will be healthier.
Someone on the bus quietly chuckled. Then another person. Suddenly, the chuckle began to spread.
— If it’s so uncomfortable for you — added the girl — stand up. Let the grandmother sit alone.
The young man turned red, tried to say something, but the words got stuck in his throat. People were no longer silent.
— She’s right!
— Completely lost your conscience!
— Out of the bus!
The driver stopped the bus and opened the doors.
The young man sat for another moment, as if he couldn’t believe this was happening to him. But then, under the eyes and voices of the people, he stood up and, without looking back, walked outside.
The doors closed. The bus moved again.
The girl carefully picked up the backpack, set it aside, and helped the elderly woman sit down.
— Thank you… — said the woman quietly, still unable to believe what had happened.
— Thank you for your patience — replied the girl with a slight smile. — For your patience.
And at that moment, the atmosphere on the bus changed. People started talking again, but no longer indifferently. Someone gave up a seat to another, someone just smiled.
